New Members sworn in
Ex-Chief Louis Warnet Jr., July 25
At last nights Council meeting, 2 new members were sworn in to the Fire Dept. by Mayor Dillon. They are Ted Birgler and Mateo Gorini. Drill on RIT Rescue Board and searches
Ex-Chief Louis Warnet Jr., July 23
Last night at an acquired structure, the RFD practiced using the new RIT Rescue Board recently purchased after a presentation and drill in the recent past. Members, using a rescue mannequin were trained in the proper procedure in securing a victim located in the basement, to the board and bringing it outside using an inside staircase. Monday Night Drill on Ladders

Last night the RFD drilled on the different types of ladders, the parts of the ladders and maintenance. A discussion was held on placement and the different ways ladders can be used other than climbing. Future drills will be held on different methods of placement, proper carrying, other types of uses, such as removing victims from windows with rope, using ladders as bridges, etc. Along with that, ...
