Last night at an acquired structure, the RFD practiced using the new RIT Rescue Board recently purchased after a presentation and drill in the recent past. Members, using a rescue mannequin were trained in the proper procedure in securing a victim located in the basement, to the board and bringing it outside using an inside staircase. Last night the RFD drilled on the different types of ladders, the parts of the ladders and maintenance. A discussion was held on placement and the different ways ladders can be used other than climbing.
