Volunteer of the year goes to 2 members
Ex-Chief Louis Warnet Jr., October 25
Wednesday night, at the annual "Volunteer of the year", ceremony sponsored by the Mayor and Council, 2 members of the RFD were chosen by Chief Doug Harvey to receive this years award. Firefighter Robert Barton was honored for 60 years of active service in the FD. He started as a junior firefighter in Glen Rock, then after moving to Wyckoff, he served at Fire Co. 1 and then finally moved to Ramsey ... (Full Story & Photos)

Monday Extrication Drill
Ex-Chief Louis Warnet Jr., October 23
Last Monday, RFD members took part in a 2 part drill on vehicle extrication. Mondays drill was focused on vehicle stabilization and door removal. Next drill will be for roof removal. Members were familiarized with proper stabilization and basic Hurst tool operations with the Edraulic tools. The Rescue Squad is the leading role in all entrapments and technical rescue events.
