Thank you to all who attended the Wetdown for the 2 new Pierce Engines and Squad 451. The event was a huge success and the weather could not have been better. Close to 1,000 people including residents and FD's from nearly 20 towns attended.
The day began with a dedication ceremony and blessing along with a presentation of a picture of both trucks to the Council members as a token of appreciation from the FD for their role in purchasing the trucks. The wetdown started at 4:00 and the first arriving FD came from Allendale. As the day progressed, there was a steady flow of trucks from multiple departments, who brought water to spray the trucks and anyone else who chose to get wet. There was plenty of food and beverages on hand along with a live band and a DJ. All who attended had a great time.
