Thank you to all who attended the Wetdown for the 2 new Pierce Engines and Squad 451. The event was a huge success and the weather could not have been better. Countdown to the Wetdown

Ramsey Firefighters have spent the last 2 weeks working to prepare for the Wetdown to be held on Saturday the 28th. FD members are excited to show off the new engines to residents and neighboring Fire Departments. Ramsey FD Juniors take home Trophy

The Ramsey FD Junior Fire Brigade took part in the Mutual Aid Field Day held in Ridgewood on May 18th. They competed with 9 Departments in 3 different events, which included a firefighters challenge event which required firefighters to perform different tasks and then tagging the next member as if in a relay. Ramsey FD members recently took advantage of some warmer weather recently and began the training process on the new engines. Each driver was familiarized with the operation of the pump and other components of the trucks. The two new Pierce engines arrived in Ramsey on 12/13 and are now in the process of being put in service. The members of the Fire Department would like to thank the Town Council for their hard work and support during the process of purchasing these new trucks. Welcoming Home a Brother

On a beautiful fall day on September 30, 2013, Main Street in Ramsey was crowded with residents, family and members of Emergency Services from all around the area to welcome home fallen Staff Sgt. It is with deep regret that the Ramsey Volunteer Fire Department announces the death of Timothy R. McGill, 30, who was killed in Afghanistan while bravely serving our Country. After 40 Years, Apparatus Color is Changed to Red

After 40 years, the Ramsey Fire Department voted to change the color of the apparatus back to the traditional "Firetruck Red" from lime green. In the early 1970's, studies were done in the nation on the most visible color for emergency vehicles to promote safety and recognition.
