The Ramsey FD is asking for your help in clearing hydrants. Recent snowstorms have caused some hydrants to be buried in plowed snow. We are asking if there is a hydrant near your home or business to please clear the snow away from the hydrant. Training on the New Engines

Ramsey FD members recently took advantage of some warmer weather recently and began the training process on the new engines. Each driver was familiarized with the operation of the pump and other components of the trucks. New Engines Delivered

The two new Pierce engines arrived in Ramsey on 12/13 and are now in the process of being put in service. The members of the Fire Department would like to thank the Town Council for their hard work and support during the process of purchasing these new trucks. Welcoming Home a Brother

On a beautiful fall day on September 30, 2013, Main Street in Ramsey was crowded with residents, family and members of Emergency Services from all around the area to welcome home fallen Staff Sgt. Timothy McGill of the Army National Guard Special Forces unit. Tim was killed in Afghanistan while performing his duties. The procession began promptly at noon and passed down Main Street. Waldwick FD responded to a working house fire at 50 West Prospect Street at approximately 1:30 A.M. on Monday morning Upon arrival, Waldwick Chief Ken Warr called for a second alarm assignment. Fire was on the second floor of a 2-1/2 story wood frame with extension into the attic. Fallen Staff Seargent Timothy McGill will return to Ramsey on Monday September 30th. The homecoming procession shall take place at noon. It is with deep regret that the Ramsey Volunteer Fire Department announces the death of Timothy R. McGill, 30, who was killed in Afghanistan while bravely serving our Country. After 40 Years, Apparatus Color is Changed to Red

After 40 years, the Ramsey Fire Department voted to change the color of the apparatus back to the traditional "Firetruck Red" from lime green. In the early 1970's, studies were done in the nation on the most visible color for emergency vehicles to promote safety and recognition. Ramsey Fire Dept 2nd Annual Golf Invitational

Get out the clubs, the Ramsey Fire Department is sponsoring the 2nd annual RFD Golf Invitational. It will be held on July 21, 2012 at Loch Mor Golf Club in the Catskills. The cost is only $125 per golfer and that includes a full day of meals, golf and beverages as well as transportaion from Ramsey to the course and back.
